Your iPhone is just a click away from giving your cryptocurrencies to a hacker.
"I keep my cryptos safe because I use Apple and iPhones don't have viruses." 🍏🤡
If you ever said this phrase, wake up. Your laziness to hit the "Update Software" button could cost you your entire portfolio in the blink of an eye.
Binance and Apple have just issued a global RED ALERT. Google's Threat Intelligence team (GTIG) discovered a critical vulnerability in iOS called “DarkSword” that affects versions from 18.4 to 18.7.
And no, you don't need to download a pirated app for them to empty your account. This is much worse. Just by visiting a website that looks perfectly legitimate (like that link to the "exclusive Airdrop" that was sent to you via Telegram or X), the malware activates without you touching anything at all.
It goes straight to extracting the sensitive data from your crypto wallets on your phone, robs you, and then deletes its own traces so you won’t even notice until you see your balance at $0.00.
If you really value your money, do this RIGHT NOW:
1️⃣ Go to Settings and update your iOS to the latest version. Stop postponing it due to "lack of space".
2️⃣ Enable 2FA (Authenticator, not SMS) on all your crypto accounts.
3️⃣ Enable Withdrawal Whitelist on your exchange. That way, even if they manage to get in, they won't be able to send your funds to unknown addresses.
4️⃣ Stop clicking on junk links looking for free money.
Blockchain technology is un-hackable; the one who fails is you for using a vulnerable device. There's no point in praying for the market to rise if you leave the vault door wide open.
Have you updated your phone or do you prefer to fund an anonymous scammer's vacation?
